Single-port or Multiple-port

From 0.28.0, the MPJ implementation makes the assumption that many sockets may be open simultaneously between processes. We call this version multiple-port (MP). Communications performances are improved but you must be able to open firewalls to about as many ports as there are processes in your application.

If your firewall policy is restricted (e.g, if you can open a limited number of ports) you should choose a single-port (SP) distribution.

Forthcoming versions should integrate both devices SP and MP in a single distribution.
